About 95% of joint are working fine for 10 years and 80% are doing good at end of 20 Years. Commonest Causes of failure of knee replacement is infection.

Revision knee replacement procedure is done to rectify the existing problem by removing the already existing implant and replacing it with special implants. It is technically demanding surgery. I do two stage revision for infection and one stage revision for other problems. The longevity of revision implants are usually lesser than conventional knee implants and typically last for 10-15 years.
